On Saturday FEBRUARY 19, 2011, The 5ive will consist of 5 workshops, in 5 locations, with 5 sick Line-Ups. All in ONE DAY at the SAME TIME.

The Opportunity Workshop is a chance to let other dancers teach, show their style, experience and enjoy a workshop with other well known/upcoming choreographers. It is also a chance to let other choreographers do collaboration pieces together for the first time, or reunite them. Most importantly, its a place to INSPIRE and have FUN with others who share the same passion & love for the arts. Were all about commUNITY.
In the past we’ve donated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital for Cancer research. This time around, a percentage of our proceeds will not only go to St. Jude’s, but also towards funding to hold future workshops around the world to benefit other various charities.
The Opportunity Workshop began in March 2009, and has held 11 successful volumes in locations ranging from San Francisco to Sacramento as well as Southern California and New Jersey. The Opportunity Workshop was set to end after its 11th edition, though plenty of people did not want to see it disappear. With Capitol Roots gratefully taking it under it’s wings, however, The Opportunity workshop was saved. With this workshop, Capitol Roots and The Opportunity are very eager, excited, and ready to make a HUGE comeback that will go down in History!
